Wezlo Terms of Service
1. Acceptance of These Terms
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Wezlo mobile application (the “App”) and related services provided by Wezlo Times Limited (“Wezlo,” “we,” “our,” or “us”).
By accessing or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
If you use the App on behalf of another person or organization, you represent that you have the authority to accept these Terms on their behalf.
2. Eligibility
You may use the App only if you are legally permitted to enter into a binding agreement under the laws applicable to you.
If you are below the age at which you may independently agree to these Terms, you must use the App with the involvement and permission of a parent or legal guardian where required by law.
3. Description of Services
The App provides supported smart lighting and smart home functions, which may include:
Device setup, connection, and control.
Brightness and color adjustment.
Scenes, lighting effects, and music synchronization.
Rooms, groups, schedules, and automations.
Supported third-party voice assistant and smart home integrations.
Available functions may vary depending on your device model, operating system, region, firmware, network environment, and third-party service availability.
We may update, modify, suspend, or discontinue features where reasonably necessary, subject to applicable law.
4. Accounts and Anonymous Use
You may use supported App features anonymously or sign in through an available third-party provider, such as Google or Apple.
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your device and any account you use to access the App.
If you choose anonymous use, certain settings and configurations may be stored only on your device. Such data may not be recoverable if you uninstall the App, clear its data, or change devices.
Linking a supported account may enable synchronization or restoration of supported information. We do not guarantee that every setting or item of data will be synchronized or recoverable in every circumstance.
You must not impersonate another person, misuse another person's account, or use the App for unlawful purposes.
5. Smart Devices and Home Access
You are responsible for ensuring that you have the authority to connect, configure, and control the smart devices and home environments you use with the App.
If you join or manage a Home shared with other users, you agree to respect the permissions and access rights assigned to you.
You are responsible for reviewing who has access to your Home and for removing access when appropriate.
Device operation may depend on power, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, internet connectivity, compatible hardware, firmware, and third-party services. We cannot guarantee uninterrupted operation or compatibility in every environment.
6. Third-Party Services
The App may support integrations with third-party platforms, including Google, Apple, Amazon Alexa, Google Home, and SmartThings, where available.
Your use of those services may be subject to separate terms, privacy policies, account requirements, and technical limitations imposed by the relevant providers.
We do not control independent third-party services and are not responsible for their availability, policies, or actions, except to the extent required by applicable law.
7. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
Use the App in violation of applicable laws or regulations.
Interfere with the security, operation, or integrity of the App or its systems.
Attempt unauthorized access to accounts, devices, systems, or data.
Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App except where such restrictions are prohibited by applicable law.
Use the App to infringe another person's rights or interfere with another user's authorized access.
Misuse the App or its services in a way that could harm other users or Wezlo.
We may take reasonable action to address violations of these Terms, subject to applicable law.
8. User Content and Feedback
You retain any rights you hold in content you submit to us, subject to the rights necessary for us to process that content to provide support or perform the service you request.
If you provide suggestions, feedback, or ideas about the App, you grant us permission to use that feedback to improve our products and services without compensation, to the extent permitted by law.
You must have the necessary rights to any content you submit.
9. Intellectual Property
The App and its associated software, design, branding, text, graphics, and other materials are owned by or licensed to Wezlo and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for its intended purposes in accordance with these Terms.
Except as permitted by law or expressly authorized by us, you may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or commercially exploit the App or its materials.
10. Privacy
Your use of the App is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how information is handled.
You can review the Privacy Policy through the link provided in the App or on our official website.
11. Availability and Updates
We aim to provide reliable services but do not guarantee that the App or any feature will always be available, uninterrupted, error-free, or compatible with every device or network.
We may release updates, security fixes, or changes to maintain or improve the App. Some features may require updated software or firmware.
You are responsible for maintaining a compatible device and a suitable network connection.
12. Disclaimers
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the App and services are provided on an “as available” basis.
We do not guarantee that the App will meet every individual requirement or that smart devices will operate without interruption, delay, or error.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any warranty, right, or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
13. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Wezlo will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, data, or business opportunities arising from your use of the App.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law, including liability for fraud, willful misconduct, or other liabilities where exclusion is prohibited.
Where liability may lawfully be limited, Wezlo's liability will be limited to the extent permitted by applicable law.
14. Suspension and Termination
You may stop using the App at any time.
We may suspend or restrict access where reasonably necessary to address security risks, unlawful activity, serious violations of these Terms, or operational issues, subject to applicable law.
Where you have a linked account and wish to delete it, you may contact wezlo@wezlo.com. We will process account and data deletion requests in accordance with applicable law and our Privacy Policy.
Termination or deletion may affect access to associated settings and configurations. Data stored only on your device may be lost if you remove the App or clear its data.
15. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms to reflect changes in our services or legal requirements.
We will update the “Last Updated” date and provide notice of material changes where required by law. Your continued use of the App after updated Terms take effect constitutes acceptance where permitted by applicable law.
If you do not agree to updated Terms, you should stop using the affected services.
16. Governing Law and Disputes
These Terms are subject to the laws of [Insert Applicable Jurisdiction], without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where applicable law provides otherwise.
